Chapada Diamantina

Chapada Diamantina is a nature reserve, preserved and protected by the Brazilian government as a National Ecological Park. Lençois, the most famous city in the area, has a wide range of places to stay, and of course, there is plenty of choice in tourist centres, with tours throughout the area leaving every day. Lençois is 350 km away from Salvador.
Powerful rivers, extraordinary waterfalls, crystal lakes and intriguing caves certainly make Chapada Diamantina a place of magic and wonderful memories. You will be glad to have added it into your holiday plans!

Chapada Diamantina

If you are looking for a pure adrenalin sport, you have to try 'Tirolesa'. Basically you are tied to a rope which is attached to another rope going from the top of a waterfall (25m approx.) to the bottom on the other side of the river, Then you jump! Until you feel the catch of the rope, you are falling. Then you slide down the rope until you splash into the water. It's wonderful, pure fun! Don't worry, it doesn't hurt a bit!

Praia do Forte

Praia do Forte offers a wide range of entertainment: tours around the region, horse riding, panoramic flights, boat trips, restaurants and a lot more.
It takes about 50 minutes by car from the Pousada Casablanca.
Once there, you must go to the Project Tamar. It is an internationally acclaimed project working on helping and protecting the sea turtles and their environment.
This is truly one of the most beautiful beaches on the Bahian coast.

Morro de São Paulo

Morro de São Paulo is a small village in the northern archipelago of Bahia de Camamu on the island of Tinharé. There are no cars and there are only two ways to get there. By catamaran, it takes about two hours from Salvador. By light aircraft it takes only 15 minutes from Salvador's airport.
White sand and clear sea provide wonderful diving spots, and in the village you will find professional equipment and lessons, as well as horse riding, boat trips, canoeing and snorkeling. The village also has lots of restaurants with national and international menus and a wide variety of places to stay.
